Looking for advice for the approval of Free School Meals. Does any school use anyone other than the Local Authority to approve these? I have been looking at www.myfreeschoolmeals.com - which looks fairly user friendly, and I think might encourage parents to apply.
But I am a little uneasy about moving away from the LA service (which, to the best of my knowledge, we don't pay directly for). The site gives the impression that the applicant gets an immediate approval.
Has anyone got experience of this (or any other) provider?
Thanks
Guy

Guy,
We seem to have relied on the LA service for this up until now, and there is no obvious desire to move away. What advantages would you see in doing so?
I notice on that LGSS site that they also offer admission services, maybe extending to appeals...
Cheers,
D.

My only thought for moving to another provider is the ease for parents to register. It may just increase our take-up of FSM.
But I'm reluctant to change without knowing the quality of service, issues involved etc

Thanks Sue - definitely worth the wait for this. Anything which makes it easier for parents to apply is worthwhile
